Internal Medicine

At VCSG, we offer full internal medicine services which includes the diagnosis and treating of gastroenterology (esophageal, stomach and intestinal disease), hepatology (liver and pancreatic disease), endocrinology (hormonal disease), infectious diseases, urology (urinary tract disease), nephrology (kidney disease), respiratory medicine (nose, airway and lung disease), and hematology & immunology (blood cell and immune-disease).

The internal medicine department is headed by our owner and medical director, Dr. William Pullen. With his over 15 years of small animal internal medicine experience, Dr. Pullen’s service offers full ultrasound capabilities along with the most advanced computed tomography (CT) technology to aid in diagnosing a variety of ailments and diseases.  Our full spectrum of endoscopic equipment allows us to perform non-invasive laparoscopic procedures, along with procedures such as upper & lower endoscopy, cystoscopy, rhinoscopy and bronchoscopy in the canine and feline patient. VCSG also offers a wide variety of chemotherapeutic treatments, including the melanoma vaccine and the new Tanovea canine lymphoma drug.

Our service operates Monday through Friday with Dr. Pullen, while our emergency department is available 24/7/365 for the emergent case.  The internal medicine patient is seen on a referral basis from the client’s primary veterinarian. We pride ourselves in working closely with the veterinarians in our area, providing top of the line medical care for their patients and communicating thoroughly with them and their clients on each case.
